Public library in 42nd subway station at Port Authority and Times Square, New York. The concept is movement, which comes from rush of people and train. The moving book wall achieve the solution to the issue: Long narrow passage way between two stations fatiguing passengers. Eye-catching moving books amuse people walking on the long way to go. After checking out paper based books in the color acrylic cases, guests download book date on their tablet at touch panel vending machine. The wall aims at not only entertainment but also optical illusion in the narrow way which appears wider than actual width. Lighting fixture design is inspired by gear and wheel, which operates train movement. Chasing moving light, passengers spontaneously enter into reading space for relaxation, where used to be dead space in the station.
