Hirofumi Orihara is originally from Japan. After acquiring experience as an interior designer in the hospitality industry in Japan he decided to move to New York to further pursue his design career. He completed his studies at Parsons the New School of Design. With great attention to detail and his ability to resolve complex design issues, he has impressed many of his professors. His work is currently being exhibited on Parsons The New School for Design. He received the top of two awards: Judges’ Award at IIDA Student Award 2013 and Winner for Student Project at Hospitality Design Award 2013. Based on going through hospitality industry, his design always achieves happiness and fun for people: not only guests but also creators working with him.
